Jummah Prayer

Jummah Prayer is Back!

BALTIMORE, (Friday July 21st, 2023 Muharram 15, 1445 - Recurring ) Welcome to Yawm al-Jum’ah, the Day of Assembly! Every Friday, Muslims unite for "Salat al Jumah," congregational worship where we stand shoulder to shoulder, a symbol of unity in fulfilling our duty as Muslims. This sacred gathering, mandated by the Qur’an, reflects our commitment to worship and community. Join us in the divine rhythm of Friday prayers, a day of spiritual connection and devotion."

O Believers! When the call to prayer is made on the day of congregation, hurry towards the reminder of God and leave off your business––that is better for you, if only you knew! Quran Meaning. Translation; Ayah al-Jumu`ah(62:9).

At ILIA, we believe in the power of community, and what better way to celebrate it than by reviving the timeless tradition of Jummah prayers. This sacred day holds immense religious significance, symbolizing the unity and submission of our muslim community to Allah (SWT). It's not just a prayer; it's a cultural and spiritual tradition deeply embedded in the fabric of Islam.

The Religious Significance and Tradition of Prayer:

Jummah is not a mere ritual it is a profound connection to our faith. As the Athan echoes, it serves as a collective reminder of our shared devotion, a moment where we unite as one community to seek the blessings of Allah. By reinstating Jummah at ILIA, we rekindle our commitment to fostering spiritual growth and nurturing a shared identity. Picture Jummah as more than just a prayer it's a pilgrimage through tradition and culture, a homage to our heritage connecting us with Muslims across centuries who gathered on this blessed day.

The Reward for Going to Jummah:

The reward for joining Jummah with your Muslim brothers and sisters is  immeasurable. It's not just about fulfilling a religious obligation it's about the sense of belonging, the spiritual recharge, and the unique unity that comes from standing shoulder to shoulder in prayer. The joy of joining Jummah is an experience that goes beyond the walls of the mosque it permeates our daily lives with tranquility and blessings.

Join Us in Celebration and Gratitude:

As we announce the return of Jummah Prayer at ILIA, we invite each of you to join us in celebration and gratitude. Let's come together, not just as a community, but as a family connected by faith and shared traditions.
