This initiative is pivotal as many inmates, located hours away from Muslim communities, face challenges in frequent visits. Functioning as a vital lifeline, Muslim Connector helps inmates stay connected with their faith and community.
Islam emphasizes unity and support for those connecting with their faith, fostering positive transformations during challenging chapters of their lives. Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) aptly said, If a person relieves a Muslim of his trouble, Allah will relieve him of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection.
Muslim Connector is more than a newsletter, it's a lifeline for those seeking redemption and self-improvement. Delivered to correctional facilities in Virginia and Maryland by ILIA, it offers various essential services, including private counseling, group halaqas, Quran reading sessions, Friday Jummah khutbah, and a new distance learning program.
Our monthly newsletter, Muslim Connector, holds the potential to significantly impact the lives of 4,000 inmates in Maryland and Virginia. By assisting inmates in finding peace and acceptance, it ensures they are equipped with educational tools to strengthen their connection with Islam.
